Lynda only works with adults age 26 and older.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Addictions Counselor II, and Life Coach, Lynda has 28+ years of experience providing compassionate, empathetic, client-centered, strengths-based, change-focused, depth-oriented therapy to her adult clients. Her specialties include: depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, relationship issues, life/personal coaching, support for mothers of estranged adult children, spiritual growth, grief/loss, creativity, female empowerment, transcending social/cultural programming, and utilizing the mind/unconscious/imagination for change. Lynda brings a wide range of therapy styles, orientations, tools and skills to her work, including Hypnotherapy/Guided Imagery, Jungian/Depth Psychology, EMDR, CBT, DBT, Experiential, Interpersonal, Depth-Oriented Solution-Focused, Mindfulness, Existential, Narrative, Psychodynamic, Gestalt Parts Work/IFS, Life/Personal Coaching, Writing as Therapy, Music/Sound Healing, Insight/Empathy, Intuition, and Laughter/Humor. With her holistic philosophy, Lynda incorporates all levels into her counseling: psychological, mental, emotional, energetic, cultural, biological, genetic, social, environmental, relational and spiritual. Lynda’s background includes 28+ years of private practice as a therapist/counselor, in addition to contract work at various mental health centers in the Denver Metro Area. She created, owned and operated SoulWorks Hypnotherapy Training School for several years, and she still teaches, mentors and coaches hypnotherapists privately, as well as offering classes and groups in many subjects in addition to hypnotherapy: personal growth, intuitive awareness, writing, body image, sound healing, managing depression, exploring trauma and reducing stress. Lynda also taught for a Master’s of Counseling college program, and she supervised hypnotherapists and LPC candidates. As a single mother of a now-grown son, Lynda understands the financial, emotional, physical and mental challenges of being a woman, a professional and a mother. Earlier in her life, she made her living as a musician/singer. With her varied life experiences, Lynda brings compassion, hope and understanding to each client’s struggles. In her free time, Lynda enjoys fiction writing, reading, walking, singing, cinematherapy, and exploring new techniques for change and growth to bring to her clients.s and groups.
